Hi! I'm Shana Pack, founder of God's Eye Creative Studio, and I'll be your guide.

I love supporting people in combining their faith journey and creativity. One reason is that I know how powerful creative activities can be in helping us connect with God, to hear God's voice, to help us develop a prayerful life, and to find peace in a chaotic, material world. And I want you to know that peace, too.

Spiritual practices are the foundation of this group.

What are spiritual practices? Quite simply, they are any activity you do on a regular basis for the purpose of understanding, experiencing, and listening to God. Some of the spiritual practices we will use are centering prayer, Examen ritual, prayer doodling, finger labyrinths, and lectio divina. Sometimes the creative activity itself will be the spiritual practice, such as art journaling. In Creative Faith Reflections, I will guide you and teach you how to use a variety of spiritual practices combined with creative activity.

Some of our creative practices will include....

...art and written journaling, collage, watercolor, paper crafting, weaving, beading, creative writing, acrylic painting, and other activities the group shows an interest in! You will receive supply lists in advance for the activities I will be showing you, but you will ALWAYS have the option to create in the way that want. And... I will always be wanting feedback about how I can help you with your creative development.

You may have some questions....

  • Is this group aligned with a particular faith tradition?

    Yes, this group is aligned with the Christian faith tradition; however, everyone is welcome regardless of their personal faith tradition. This group is meant to be supportive in helping each person deepen their faith.

  • Do I have to know a lot about the Bible or God to participate?

    No--this group is for anyone who wants to engage in spiritual practices and creativity to connect with the Divine. You are welcome regardless if you are a Bible scholar or have never read the Bible.

  • Do I have to have any creative or artistic ability?

    No! In this group, creativity is used as a process to help us encounter the Divine. It's not about creating masterpieces or incredible art work.

  • Will I learn any crafting or artistic techniques?

    Yes! I will share basic techniques and instructions; however, this group is not an "art class."

  • Do I need to have specific materials or art supplies to participate?

    This is up to you. I encourage people to use materials they have on hand, but you may want to purchase supplies that I show you during the weekly live sessions. At minimum, I would encourage you to have 1) a journal or pad with either mixed media paper or watercolor paper and 2) a set of markers and/or pens. You could do your creative work on any kind of paper, but mixed media and watercolor paper are thicker kinds of paper and will be able to handle a variety of media. During the course I will show you how to use a variety of media on paper, as well as some crafts.

  • When are the live Zoom meetings?

    Live Zoom meetings typically will be on Tuesday evenings at 7 PM CST. In the event that I would need to schedule a Zoom session for a different day or time, I will let you know as far in advance as I can so you can also plan accordingly. In the event that I am unable to hold a live Zoom session I will either provide you with a prerecorded session or hold a "make-up" session.

  • What if I can't make the weekly live sessions? Will there be a recording?

    Yes, all Zoom sessions will be recorded and uploaded into your Thinkific course for you to view at your convenience.

  • Can I join the group without a Thinkific account?

    No, you will need a Thinkific account. You will create this when you sign up for the course. Your Thinkific course is where you will get access to all of your printables, resources and Zoom recordings. There is no extra charge for having a Thinkific account. It is part of your membership.

What does the group cost and what are the details about the subscription?

  • How much does membership cost?

    During the month of February 2022, this group, including access to the Thinkific course room, is FREE. (Use the coupon code FREEFEB.) Beginning in March, your monthly membership fee will be $16/month for as long as you remain a member. You are LOCKED IN! The price you pay for the group when you join will never go up as long as you remain a member.

  • Is there an annual subscription option?

    You can also purchase an annual subscription with a one-time payment. Basically, an annual (12-month) subscription will be your monthly membership fee x 10, meaning that you get two months free. You can convert your monthly subscription to an annual one, with the annual subscription beginning the month of your next payment.

  • How does the subscription work?

    When you join the group and create your Thinkific account, you will enter payment information. You will be charged the monthly membership fee automatically on the day of the month on which you initially signed up. For example, if you signed up for the group on February 7, your billing date will be the 7th of each month.

  • How long do I have to join at the price of $16/month?

    You can join this group any time through March 15 and be locked in at the $16/month rate. After March 15, the opportunity to join the group will close. The next opportunity to join this group will be in June, and the price will be higher.

  • Can I cancel my membership?

    Yes, you can cancel your subscription anytime. You can re-join the group during various joining periods during the year, and your membership fee will be whatever the price is when you re-join.
